Train

| The
Children's Ministry Team at Arlington
Heights United Methodist Church
strives to fulfill its stated purpose of
building young disciples through service,
spiritual growth and celebration of God's
love in a caring community.
Believing that "the Kingdom belongs
to them", the
Children's Ministry Team is building these
young disciples by providing year-round
faith-based programming for children.
The
Children's Ministry Team meetings
are open to any interested
persons. They are generally
scheduled on the fourth Sunday
afternoon of the month; check the calendar
to be sure!

| Acolytes |
|
Acolytes
are important people in the
worship service, being the first
to enter the sanctuary and bring
forward the lit flame to light the
candles on the altar. We
light the candles to remind us
that Jesus is the light of the
world, and that this light still
shines on our world today.
The candles remain lit until the
end of the worship service. Just
as the Acolytes begin the service,
they are the first to leave as
well. They carry the lit
flame, reminding all of us that
Jesus tells us to go into the
world and proclaim the Good News!
Gwen
Patteson coordinates our 4th
and 5th grade Acolytes.

Music
for Children
|
At
Arlington Heights United Methodist Church,
we
have three Children's Choirs for boys and girls in 4
years of age through 5th grade. These choirs sing and ring in Worship Services
several times throughout the year.
There is also a Children's
Choirs Activity Day at the beginning of the school year for
registration and to have a fun music day.
