Mildred Haupt Preschool, founded in
1963, is a ministry of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church and operates as a weekday paid tuition program. These classes are offered for young children to meet the needs of both church members and the
community at large. |

Our Philosophy
The Preschool program provides for the growth and development of the whole child. This approach emphasizes interrelated areas such as intellectual, social, physical, spiritual and emotional. Emphasis is placed on meeting the needs of individual children in a group setting. Each child is helped to experience success and positive feelings of self-worth at their level of maturity. A love for learning is fostered through a Christian
environment rich in opportunities for growth. |

Our Activities
Because children learn most effectively through a concrete, play-oriented approach, classroom environments include blocks, puzzles, art materials, manipulative toys, and a variety of centers such as science, housekeeping, library/listening, woodworking, sand/water and math. Teachers plan for daily activities using their knowledge of child development to identify the range of appropriate behaviors, activities, and materials for a specific age group. The three and four year old classes participate in a weekly chapel time as well as various field trips throughout the year.

12:30pm
for children 2 (by Sep 1) years of
age on MWF or T/Th. We also
offer a M-F class for our four
year olds.
Registration

T/Th - $120.00
M-F - $300.00

MDO is for children who are 1 by
Sep 1st, meeting Wednesday and
Thursday from 9:00 - 2:30.
