The purpose of Women's Ministry is to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of women at Arlington Heights United Methodist Church and within our community.  This ministry is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ.  Be a part of God's work!

If you'd like to be a part of these ministries, watch for details in church publications.  We invite you to be a part of God's work to bring women together for service, spiritual growth, and just plain fun!

CELEBRATING WOMEN!

The Celebrate Women Luncheon & Style Show is undoubtedly the social event of the (women's) calendar at AHUMC.  The event held in April each year has as  it's sole purpose to bring our ladies together to celebrate who we are in God's great creation and our sisterhood in the Faith Community of AHUMC.

Watch the church calendar and announcements for the event to take place in April.  Come, and experience a wonderful luncheon, style show, motivating devotional, and lavish tablescapes designed by our women.  You don't want to miss this one!

RED HAT SOCIETY CHAPTER Heights Hatters!  AHUMC's chapter of the Red Hat Society is 25 ladies strong and becoming an awesome support group to laugh with and feel what's it's like to belong to a group of loving sisters who try to dispel the notion that women our age are old!

"Welcome to the place where there is fun after fifty (and before) for women of all walks of life.  We believe silliness is the comedy relief of life and, since we are all in it together, we might as well join red-gloved hands and go for the gusto together. Underneath the frivolity, we share a bond of affection, forged by common life experiences and a genuine enthusiasm for wherever life takes us next."

LADIES BIBLE STUDY

For several years now, women of all ages gather weekly during the spring and fall to participate in a Bible or book study. This group usually numbers anywhere from 12-18 women.  They conclude the spring and fall terms with a luncheon.

Melissa Nichols facilitates our Ladies Bible Study, Mondays at 12:00 Noon in the main Library.  Pre-registration is not required.  Just bring your Bible, and join us as we explore what God's Word has to say to women today.

STERLING SERVICE TEA

The purpose of the Sterling Service Tea Ministry is to serve the spiritual, social and inspirational needs of our sisters who have been touched by cancer.

A celebration of tea is an opportunity to retreat from the hurried pace of the world and enjoy conversation and beautifully prepared foods in a gracious setting.  Each visit with our circle of friends should be a new adventure.  We will create a different menu at each tea which will be served to you on silver trays and antique dishes, dressed with fresh flowers and accompanied by soothing classical music.

WOMEN'S RETREAT

AHUMC's Women's Ministry sponsors two Women's Retreats annually; a daytime retreat and a weekend away.  Exciting speakers and leaders are chosen for these events who will challenge us to face life positively and in fun, also leading us to look within ourselves to find the Personal Savior dwelling there!

Watch the church calendar and announcements for news of the next scheduled retreat.  You won't want to miss the opportunity to bond with your Sisters in the Faith Community of AHUMC!

Women at Arlington Heights UMC have a long and solid tradition of being in ministry to one another and to the community in which they live.  We don't need to create a new or special venue for our Sisters in Christ to enjoy the beautiful gift of friendship and service!  We just want to make it official with this new "program".  Join us as we celebrate the women God created us to be!
